#0003 Newsletter | ETM Issue's Features Unveiled & Players Bundle
A sneak peek at Everlasting Tales Magazine Issue 1's features
Hello everyone,
First, I’d like to welcome new subscribers and thank you for your efforts in spreading the EVERLASTING TALES Newsletter over social media.
Second, I’ll share a sneak peek at EVERLASTING TALES Magazine issue 1’s features. Here we go; the time has come!
Everlasting Tales Magazine issue 1
Through the contents’ sheet, you’ll notice that EVERLASTING TALES Magazine is presented in landscape format and is composed of an editorial on page 1, four features spreading from pages 2 to 71, a sneak peek of EVERLASTING TALES’ adventures on page 72, a sneak peek of EVERLASTING TALES Magazine issue 2 on page 73, and an appendix with creature statistics spreading from pages 74 to 79. Right now, that’s just a draft of the contents’ sheet—there’s a gorgeous art planned for it.
Despite the fact that I’ll only share the editorial a week before the issue’s release and that EVERLASTING TALES Newsletter issue 2 covers the feature Delving Into Everlasting Tales, let’s take a look at the other content within EVERLASTING TALES Magazine issue 1.
Life on the Rock
Nine NPCs representing areas related to wellness, commerce, industry, culture, religion, government & defense, and exploration guide PCs throughout the Rock of Bral, presenting them with 24 mapped locations (most of them created by myself while preserving canonical locations) plenty of information such as rumors, tales, riddles, recipes for drinks & food, and other NPCs to interact with, in addition to 24 tasks—downtime activities, and 4 free tasks given by the exploration guides Orlin and Volys, introducing PCs to the daily life on the Rock of Bral and starting the current chronicle—The Draconic Crux (that’s the next newsletter subject).
You can find all issues’s tasks on The Bralian Bulletin’s hiring board, where you’ll notice that a series of hyperlinks are available to improve your interactive experience with the digital magazine. For more information related to these tasks, see EVERLASTING TALES Newsletter issue 2.
Since this is the longest issue’s feature, covering 61 of its pages, the NPC guides have been introducing themselves and presenting one location related to their areas. You can check them out on a social media of your choice:
Backgrounds and Subclasses
As crucial elements to any EVERLASTING TALES' chronicle, especially The Draconic Crux, which mostly takes place in the wildspace and astral sea, this issue features the Longshorefolk Background and the Smuggler Subclass—a roguish archetype. Both options will be available to play during the playtest.
Longshorefolk
Designed according to the 2024 Player’s Handbook, if you choose this background while creating your 1st-level character, you gain two skill proficiencies, a tool proficiency, one language, starting equipment, ability score bonus, and the Savant Recollection feat. In addition, you can roll once on the Longshorefolk Trinkets table, instead of on the Trinkets table in the Player’s Handbook, for your starting trinket. Also, there are exclusive suggested characteristics tables to help you improve your character’s background.
Smuggler
Despite the fact that smugglers work on the fringes of law, their efforts are crucial for the survival of many isolated communities in the wildspace and the astral sea. In a vast multiverse not fully explored and shrouded in mysteries, smugglers’ skills have become essential to adventuring parties. Their many contacts, readiness for the unexpected, knowledge of alternate escape routes, environmental awareness, and combat expertise are powerful allies when anything else has failed.
The Smuggler Subclass has the following features:
3rd-level: Strike First Matters
3rd-level: Contact is all it Takes
9th-level: Always Alert
13th-level: Cheating the Unexpected
17th-level: Legendary Escape
Key Encounter
Mysterious rock dice engraved with unusual runes have been causing a furor throughout the Rock of Bral. Two guards from the Low Magistrate’s Watch have gone missing since they had a pair of those dice under custody.
As soon as PCs have successfully accomplished one or more tasks given by Orlin and Volys, the gnomes assign them to a mission where they must inspect the Rock of Bral’s leading jettison, finding out the guards demise.
According to characters’ findings in the quest, they can gain bond, morality, deeds, and downtime awards, in addition to experience points and gold, leading them to a series of adventures within the chronicle. It’ll also feature a comic strip starring Orlin and Volys talking to PCs at the Icy Asteroids Tavern.
Next Releases
It features the next adventures for the EVERLASTING TALES' chronicle—The Draconic Crux to be released on DMs Guild:

TDC-WD-DQ01 | Scarlet Crag Carnival’s Ride: On this development quest, an enormous dwarven citadel arrives in the Rock of Bral to entertain Bralians for five days through a series of space funfair attractions. Orlin and Volys’ friend, Falnan Kiarosci, asks PCs at the Evergreen Festhall to retrieve a rock board with unusual runes from the Magical Mystery Dungeon, an attraction within the dwarven citadel.
TDC-WD-DQ02 | Malady’s Unscrupulous Forces: On this development quest, the characters find themselves embroiled in an alternate reality within the Scarlet Crag Carnival after retrieving a rock board with unusual runes.
TDC-WD-DQ03 | Running the Pirate’s Blockade: On this development quest, the characters are back in Bral and ready to set sail aboard the gnome’s spelljammer ship heading to Krynnspace when a githyanki pirate’s fleet initiates a blockade in the Rock of Bral.
