Hello there,
I’m Marcelo Morais, also known as DMGMorais on social media—a DUNGEONS & DRAGONS enthusiast working as a game developer, layout designer, Fantasy Grounds Unity module designer, and CC3+ cartographer.
Currently, I’m producing EVERLASTING TALES—a series of living tabletop roleplaying game’s chronicles set in D&D multiverse. It’ll be regularly published on Dungeon Master’s Guild, composed of a bimonthly magazine and four adventures between issues. Despite the fact that I’ve created this substack to share EVERLASTING TALES updates, on this first newsletter, I would like to present you with a title I published long ago on DMs Guild.
Sacred Alliances
After spending a couple of years learning Adobe InDesign, InCopy, and Photoshop, I had revamped all SACRED ALLIANCES’ titles in one volume, applying a new layout and the D&D trade dress format. In addition, D&D BEYOND's link styles, an isometric map, and a one-page encounter were added to improve the experience.
What is it?
Much like the factions presented over the fifth edition D&D’s hardcovers and the first Adventurers League's seasons, SACRED ALLIANCES are organizations forged by deities pursuing mutual goals.
Each alliance has been structured in five hierarchical ranks with peculiar benefits according to the alliance's tenets, such as additional daily spells, skills and tool proficiency, advanced skills knowledge, languages, access to portals, teleportation circles, spelljamming ships, etc.
Along their adventuring careers within an alliance, PCs accomplish a series of daily and special tasks, such as gathering spell components, supporting a ceremony, crafting magic items, stealing an adversary alliance’s relic, building an altar, library, or laboratory, etc.
The Five Alliances
After the conclusion of the Second Sundering, Lord Ao had rewritten the gods’ duties on the tablets of fate. Therefore, five sacred alliances have arisen to prominence when a Knight of Myth Drannor found the tome of relics within the debris of the City of Shade over Myth Drannor. The ancient tome, written in celestial around -2200 DR by Amyrtaios—a monk from Mulhorand, details the connection between relics, deities, and devotees based on a devotion structure.
While it is possible that other alliances are working anonymously in the realms, five are well-known:
Divine Trinity of Justice, forged by Tyr, Torm, and Ilmater.
Fourfold Juncture of Knowledge, forged by Oghma, Deneir, Milil, and Gond.
Manifesto of Natural Harmony, forged by Silvanus, Chauntea, Eldath, and Mielikki.
Nefarious Cabal, forged by Bane, Bhaal, Loviatar, and Myrkul.
Relentless Keepers of the Weave, forged by Mystra, Azuth, and Savras.
A Faithful Bundle
In addition to its INTERACTIVE PDF, there are two other SACRED ALLIANCES’ versions:
